Green Fashion - MOVEABLE GARDEN

Pausing in our headlong rush toward the future, we go back to the garden for inspiration, to the original leaves and vines and reeds that first clothed human beings, to the origins of the first fibres, the first yarns, the first fabrics. The supple and elegant leaf, with its myriad forms and its protective functionality, its internal structure and supple yet resistant spine, suggests new solutions for shape, from tendrils that entwine to fronds that flourish to the giant elliptical blade whose flat curve hugs the body like a corset, a harness, or an armoured wing. Where the leaf's verdant hue meets flesh there is mutual recognition, from some time before time, of a history shared.

In these works I have made organic jewellery in order to express Movable Garden and the wonderland of nature. My particular obsession is a fascination for jewellery in the shapes of plants. It is of no importance if they are large or small, metal or porcelain, beautiful or ugly. I want to express that the World is indifferent, People are getting sub healthy and that we have to look back at our root when we were still righteous and happy and free from vulgarity, we must get those virtue back, we should not forget them. It is an important power in life.

Through a month of the research process, I strongly feel my work's 'edgy' (always have too many ideas!!) Texture, surface, abstraction, memory and place they all elements of we have to think about. Material exploration and technical problem solving is an initial part of explaining my design orientation. To make it my own way is to make personal style aesthetic decision making process and potential for future development. Those pictures document the process of how I making a brooch. Mix and Match, feel the visual impact, what makes this combination visually harmonious. 

To turn these emotional abstraction to actual work is the charm of my mission. To select, balance and decrease & add the relationship between figurative work and abstraction, so that to improve the work visually and conceptually synchronous, also is the mission I have to strive.

If jewellery could talk, it would sound like the stories and poems. The question of how meaning is produced in jewellery is a vexed one, but it is fundamental to any activity that claims its status as art. Artists may be pourers in of meaning and the challenge that artist has always to consider is to what degree they think other people can understand their work. Many designer makers, like many other artists, are happy to leave the individual view or purchaser to decide on the meaning, worth or value the work they produce. This I believe makes a piece unique and valuable.
